The ProTaper Contour Carmichael Handlebar - Jet Black is a full-size 1-1/8 in. clamp handlebar built from ProTaper's proprietary 2000 series T6 aluminum alloy, which the brand says balances fatigue life, impact strength, and flex better than heavier or cheaper materials. The Contour line is ProTaper's most accessible bar-and-pad combination, and this one comes with a crossbar pad included. The Carmichael bend is named after the riding profile it replicates, making it a recognizable reference point for riders already familiar with that geometry.

This bar measures 800mm wide, giving you solid leverage at the grips, and it can be trimmed down using the built-in 1/4 in. cut guides if your setup calls for a narrower width. The 40mm rise brings the grip area up a meaningful amount above the clamp, which suits riders who prefer a more upright position, whether seated or standing. A 55mm sweep angles the grips back toward you for a relaxed wrist angle, and the 180mm control area gives you plenty of straight tubing to position levers and switches where you want them.
