The ProTaper Contour CR Mid Handlebar - Jet Black is a full-size 1-1/8 in. clamp handlebar built from ProTaper's proprietary 2000 series T6 aluminum alloy, processed through shot peening, stress relieving, and anodizing for long-term durability. The CR Mid bend is a widely used profile that suits a broad range of riders looking for a mid-height position. It comes with a crossbar pad included, knurling on the clutch side for grip security, and chemically applied graphics that resist scratching and peeling.
At 56mm of rise and 57mm of sweep, this bar lifts the grip area a moderate amount above the clamp and angles the wrists back at a comfortable mid-range angle, making it a good fit for riders who split time between sitting and standing. The 800mm width provides solid leverage and can be trimmed down using the bar's 1/4 in. cut guides if a narrower setup is needed. The 200mm control area on each side gives enough straight section to position levers and switches without crowding.
