ProTaper ACF SX Race Handlebar - Black

The ProTaper ACF SX Race Handlebar - Black is a 1-1/8 in. clamp motocross bar built around ProTaper's ACF construction, which bonds unidirectional carbon fiber cores inside 7000 series aluminum tubing to reinforce the bar while allowing wall thickness to be reduced in key areas. That combination brings the weight down by up to 20 percent compared to conventional 1-1/8 in. handlebars and produces impact-absorbing flex that standard aluminum bars do not offer. The SX Race bend gives riders a specific geometry developed for motocross, and the bar ships in black with an anodized, shot-peened, stress-relieved finish.

This bar has 51mm of rise, which lifts the grip area a moderate amount above the clamp and suits riders who prefer a slightly upright standing position without going too tall. The 54mm sweep angles the grips back toward the rider for a reasonably relaxed wrist angle, falling in a middle range that works for a wide variety of riding styles. At 800mm wide the bar provides solid leverage, and the 220mm control area gives up to 40mm more straight section for levers, mapping switches, and electric starter buttons than a typical 1-1/8 in. handlebar.
