The Progressive Suspension 465 Series Shocks with RAP (Remote Adjustable Preload) are engineered for high-performance applications requiring reliable and customizable suspension. Featuring a high-pressure gas monotube design, these shocks deliver consistent damping performance under demanding riding conditions. The remote hydraulic preload adjuster allows riders to easily fine-tune suspension settings for varying loads, such as passengers or luggage, without dismounting or disassembling the shock. This feature enhances ride comfort and handling versatility, especially on heavier-duty motorcycles or when carrying additional gear. The five-position rebound adjustment provides further customization, enabling precise control over suspension rebound speed to adapt to changing terrain and riding styles. Built with a durable hard-anodized aluminum body and components, these shocks resist corrosion and ensure longevity even in harsh environments. The 46 mm bore and deflective disc piston contribute to accurate damping control, delivering smooth ride quality and stability. The 16 mm hard-chrome shaft rides on specialized Viton seals, reducing friction and preventing leaks for reliable performance over time. Each shock is specifically tuned for damping and spring rate to match the intended motorcycle fitment, ensuring optimal handling and ride comfort. Note that before installing shocks different from the OEM length, you should verify that your wheel travel and clearance are adequate to avoid contact issues such as with the swingarm, exhaust, chain or belt guard, or tires. These heavy-duty shocks are ideal for motorcycles operating at or near their maximum load capacity over 50% of the time, providing the robustness and adjustability needed for demanding riding scenarios.
