The Motul 5100 4T Synthetic Blend Oil 10W-50 4L is a synthetic blend four-stroke engine oil built around Motul's Ester Technology, which the company says sharpens engine response. It carries the SL API rating, making it suited to machines fitted with catalytic converters, and it uses a low sulfur and phosphorus formula to stay compatible with those systems. A proprietary extreme pressure additive package is included to protect the gearbox.

This oil is a 10W-50, meaning the 10W indicates its cold-weather flow rating and the 50 describes its viscosity at operating temperature. Match the grade to whatever your service manual calls for. The 4L bottle is enough for a full oil change on most four-stroke singles and twins, and Motul recommends this oil for four-stroke engines across the board.
