The JE Pistons Piston Kit designed for Suzuki GSX1300R models from 2008 to 2019 offers advanced engineering features to enhance engine performance and durability. Featuring Aligned Grain Flow Technology, in-house forging directs the grain structure of the aluminum around critical areas of the piston, boosting strength and resistance to stress during high-performance riding. This technology ensures a more reliable and consistent operation, especially in boosted or high-horsepower applications. The design incorporates lateral gas ports that channel combustion gases to the back of the top ring groove, increasing pressure behind the compression ring to promote a better seal against the cylinder wall, which is essential for maintaining compression and power output under demanding conditions. The piston also includes ultra-thick ring lands that help sustain ring stability during forced induction, reducing ring flutter and ensuring consistent sealing over prolonged use. A thermal barrier ceramic coating on the crown significantly reduces heat transfer into the piston material, decreasing thermal fatigue and extending the lifespan of the component. The proprietary moly-based dry film skirt coating reduces operating friction, enhancing wear resistance and overall piston life. An accumulator groove adds volume to trap unwanted gases below the top ring, maintaining low pressure and high ring seal integrity. Proper lubrication is ensured with two oil channels fed into the wrist pin bore, reducing wear on the wrist pin and pin bore for increased durability. This complete kit includes all necessary pistons, rings, upgraded 9310 wrist pins, and wire locks, providing everything needed for a comprehensive upgrade. The upgraded wrist pins are thicker and stronger, designed to withstand the additional loads associated with forced induction or high-performance use, ensuring reliability and safety under demanding conditions.
