The second compression rings are designed with a reverse torsional taper face, promoting superior side sealing that minimizes oil consumption by preventing oil from passing beneath the rings. This design, combined with a taper-machined face, ensures effective scraping of the cylinder wall's bottom side, mimicking the action of a positive twist torsional ring for improved sealing. The oil control rings comprise a three-piece Flex Vent design, which allows for better conformability to the bore due to their small cross-sectional area.
