The Fly Racing Formula S Carbon Protocol Helmet combines advanced safety features with lightweight durability, making it an ideal choice for serious riders. Constructed with a 12K carbon fiber shell, this helmet offers superior penetration resistance while maintaining an extremely lightweight profile for enhanced comfort during extended rides. The helmet’s impact management system features Conehead® EPS Technology, which provides a softer liner that effectively absorbs impact forces across six critical zones, ensuring better protection against both low-speed and high-speed impacts. The expanded volume EPS and impact energy cells made of RHEON further improve shock absorption, reducing the forces transmitted to your brain and helping to prevent injuries.
The helmet is equipped with Quin® Race Sensor technology, featuring five scientific-grade sensors that constantly evaluate data during use and automatically detect crashes. When a crash occurs, the Fly Smart App records impact details and contacts emergency contacts, with a 5-diamond level monitoring center dispatching local emergency services for APEX subscribers. An integrated SOS Beacon allows riders to notify emergency contacts and services by tapping the helmet five times if assistance is needed while on the move. Live GPS tracking, speed, acceleration data, and the Q-Score provide comprehensive ride analytics, accessible via Bluetooth 5.0 connection to the Fly Smart App.
Designed for convenience and safety, the helmet includes a rechargeable battery offering up to 60 days of use on a single charge, with a two-hour fast charge mode via Micro USB. Automatic sleep and wake functions optimize power consumption. The helmet features integrated LED lights that indicate device status and flash red in the event of a crash. Comfort is prioritized with a washable, moisture-wicking, antimicrobial liner and quick-release cheek pads. The helmet’s true functional ventilation system forces air through multiple intake vents, channels within the EPS, and exits through rear exhaust vents, keeping riders cool during motion. Additional safety elements include an expanded polypropylene (EPP) chin bar for impact mitigation, a clavicle shell relief zone to reduce clavicle injuries, and a custom-molded rubber trim with an integrated nose guard, ensuring comprehensive protection and comfort for demanding riders.
