The Fly Racing Formula S Carbon Protocol helmet offers advanced safety features combined with lightweight design and modern technology for optimal rider protection. Featuring a 12K carbon fiber shell, this helmet provides superior penetration resistance while maintaining a minimal weight, ensuring comfort during extended use. The impact-absorbing components, including Impact Energy Cells made of RHEON and Conehead® EPS Technology, work together to manage both low-speed and high-speed impacts effectively, reducing the forces transmitted to your brain.
The helmet is equipped with Quin® Race Sensor technology, which utilizes five scientific-grade sensors to constantly evaluate impact data and automatically detect crash events. In the event of a crash, the Fly Smart App records impact information and notifies your emergency contacts. For APEX subscribers, a 5-diamond level monitoring center can dispatch local emergency services swiftly. An SOS beacon feature allows users to alert emergency contacts and services with just five taps on the helmet when assistance is needed while still on the move.
Designed with rider safety and convenience in mind, the helmet includes Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity with the Fly Smart App for live ride analytics such as GPS tracking, speed, accelerations, and Q-Score. The integrated LED indicators show device status and flash red during a crash. The helmet features a rechargeable battery that charges in just two hours via Micro USB and can last up to 60 days depending on usage, thanks to automatic sleep and rise-to-wake functions. Ventilation is optimized through True Functional Ventilation (TFV), which channels air efficiently through multiple vents to keep riders cool.
Additional safety enhancements include a chin bar made of expanded polypropylene (EPP) for superior impact mitigation and a clavicle shell relief zone filled with EPS and EPP to reduce clavicle injuries. The helmet's custom-molded rubber trim with an integrated nose guard and washable, moisture-wicking, antimicrobial comfort liner with quick-release cheek pads provide a secure, comfortable fit. A soft zone filled with EPS and EPP strategically reduces impact forces in critical areas, ensuring comprehensive protection during every ride.
