The Fly Racing Formula S Carbon Byte Helmet in Red Carbon/Red/Grey offers advanced safety features combined with lightweight design for optimal rider protection and comfort. Crafted with a 12K carbon fiber shell, this helmet provides superior penetration resistance while maintaining a lightweight profile, approximately 2.8 pounds in size Small/Medium. The helmet features Impact Energy Cells made of RHEON material, which maximize impact absorption for both low-speed and rotational impacts, reducing forces transmitted to the rider's brain. Additionally, Conehead® EPS Technology ensures more efficient impact management through a softer liner that adapts to various impact forces.
Designed with rider safety in mind, the Formula S Carbon Byte includes six critical zones fine-tuned for progressive response across different impact speeds. The expanded volume EPS offers more impact-absorbing material in strategic areas, providing enhanced protection between the rider's head and the ground. The EPP chin bar adds further impact mitigation, thanks to its superior damage resistance and energy-absorbing properties. A clavicle shell relief zone is integrated to help reduce clavicle injuries during impacts. The helmet's interior is fitted with a comfort liner and quick-release cheek pads, both made from washable, moisture-wicking, antimicrobial materials to ensure a comfortable ride.
Equipped with the Quin® Race Sensor system, this helmet features five scientific-grade sensors that evaluate data continuously during use and can detect crash events automatically. In the event of a crash, the helmet’s crash detection system records impact data and automatically contacts emergency contacts via the Fly Smart App, which also enables live GPS tracking, ride analytics, and real-time performance data such as speed and acceleration. The helmet’s Bluetooth 5.0 connection ensures seamless integration with the app for wireless updates and data synchronization. An integrated LED indicator flashes red during a crash and displays device status, enhancing safety visibility.
Additional features include a rechargeable battery with a fast two-hour charge, providing up to 60 days of use depending on activity level, automatic sleep and wake functions, and a premium helmet garage for storage. The helmet also includes extra visors and a custom molded rubber trim with an integrated nose guard. Ventilation is optimized through True Functional Ventilation (TFV) system, which actively forces air through multiple intake vents, vent channels in the EPS, and exits via multiple rear exhaust vents, ensuring rider comfort during motion.
