Media enhancement by M-Pleating increases the Dust Holding Capacity (DHC) and reduces pressure drop, ensuring cleaner oil circulation. The zigzag pleating pattern provides more filtration area, which allows the filter to trap more dust and debris while maintaining efficient flow. Additional filtration area gives the oil more room to move, resulting in lower pressure drop and improved engine efficiency.
The media is resin-impregnated, which guarantees structural integrity during operation under high pressure and temperature spikes. Formed tapped threads facilitate easy installation and removal, making service straightforward. The pre-lubricated gasket, factory-lubed to aid installation, ensures a secure seal while preventing leaks. The base plate is protected with shrink film to keep the lube intact and dust-free until installation.
This filter features a heat-resistant Anti-Drainback Valve (ADBV) made from silicone rubber, which offers higher temperature resistance compared to nitrile rubber. The ADBV prevents dry starts and extends the filter's lifespan by maintaining oil flow during engine startup. The 17mm hex nut provides easy service access and is designed for safety wire attachment if needed, enhancing safety during removal or installation.
