Fire Power PS163 Heavy Duty Oil Filter for BMW K Series Models

The Fire Power PS163 oil filter is engineered for optimal performance and durability in BMW K series motorcycles from 1984 to 1994. Designed with advanced media enhancement through M-Pleating, this filter offers increased dust holding capacity (DHC) and a reduced pressure drop, ensuring efficient oil filtration during prolonged operation. Its zigzag pleating pattern provides a larger filtration area, which translates to more dust retention and improved oil flow, helping maintain engine cleanliness and performance. The resin-impregnated media ensures structural integrity under pressure and temperature fluctuations, making it suitable for demanding riding conditions. The filter features a forming tapped thread for straightforward installation and a pre-lubricated gasket to facilitate a secure seal right out of the box. The base plate is covered with shrink film to preserve the lubrication and prevent dust ingress until installation. Additionally, the filter includes a heat-resistant anti-drainback valve (ADBV) made from silicone rubber, which offers higher heat resistance compared to standard nitrile rubber, preventing dry starts and extending the filter’s service life. The 17mm hex nut allows for easy removal and service, and it can accommodate safety wire attachment if needed.
