The ARAI Helmets Regent-X Helmet in the Stars & Stripes Dark design offers a combination of advanced safety features and superior comfort for motorcycle riders. Crafted with the innovative Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction (PB-CLC) shell, this helmet provides both lightweight performance and enhanced durability, ensuring reliable protection during rides. Its intermediate oval shape is designed to comfortably fit the majority of North American head shapes, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of riders.
Equipped with the Variable Axis System (VAS) shield mechanism, the helmet allows for quick, smooth, and intuitive shield operation. The smaller, lower VAS pivot cover increases the shield's range of motion and improves impact glancing ability, especially in temple areas. The larger latch ensures seamless shield handling, contributing to overall safety and ease of use. The shell features a 5 mm flare around the base, which facilitates easier helmet donning and removal while maintaining a secure fit with the FCS2 cheek pads.
The adjustable perimeter liner and cheek pads enable a customized fit, enhancing comfort and stability during rides. The soft-brushed, removable liner not only provides a plush feel but also allows for effortless cleaning. The FCS® cheek pads are contoured with multiple foam layers supported by a foam 'spring,' offering a snug fit that effectively blocks wind noise and enhances overall riding comfort.
To improve aerodynamic stability and heat management, the helmet features a one-piece exhaust vent that continuously operates to extract heat and moisture from the eye port area. Additional vents in the top of the helmet facilitate airflow, reducing fogging and maintaining clear visibility. The shell's design, including the smooth shape along the Snell test line in the temple area, ensures the helmet glances off objects effectively during impacts, increasing safety. The secure VAS latch system captures and holds the shield firmly closed, preventing accidental opening and ensuring consistent protection throughout the ride.
