The ARAI HELMETS Quantum-X Ray helmet in black offers a sleek and aerodynamic design tailored for riders with slightly wider heads. Its round oval shape is achieved through an interior headliner that combines thicker front and rear pads with thinner side pads, ensuring a comfortable fit for a variety of head shapes. Crafted with the peripherally belted super complex laminate construction (PB-SCLC), this helmet provides an optimal balance of durability, performance, and affordability. The advanced shell design integrates multiple materials and techniques to ensure superior impact resistance while maintaining lightweight comfort for extended riding sessions.
The Quantum-X features the Variable Axis System (VAS) shield system, which lowers the pivot point by an average of 24 mm, creating a smoother shell surface area in the critical temple region. This design minimizes impact energy transfer and enhances safety. The VAS latch securely holds the shield closed, preventing accidental openings and allowing for easy, intuitive operation, complemented by a de-mist function for clear visibility in various conditions.
Airflow management is optimized with the QVF three-position intake ducts and QVR exhaust ducts, providing excellent ventilation during rides. The side vent continues to serve as an exhaust even when the front shutter is closed, maintaining efficient airflow. The helmet’s FCS® cheek pads are contoured with multiple foam densities supported by a foam “spring,” offering a snug fit, easy on and off, and reducing wind noise. The water-repellent ES chin cover enhances the helmet’s aerodynamic profile, smoothing airflow, increasing exhaust from the mouth area, and minimizing wind noise.
Designed for performance and rider comfort, this helmet comes equipped with the VAS-Max Vision (VAS-MV) shield that accepts the VAS-MV Pinlock® lens, which is included as standard. The larger shield latch facilitates quick, seamless shield changes, while the integrated features collectively deliver a safe, comfortable, and reliable riding experience.
