Equipped with the VAS shield mechanism, it features a variable axis with a moving pivot point that allows the shield to open and close smoothly, even with a lower shield mount position. This mechanism is designed for quick and effortless shield changes, aided by a dual-function lever that simultaneously releases both the side cover and shield pin. The transparent shield mechanism enables easier maintenance and replacement, ensuring your helmet remains in optimal condition. The large shield latch, in addition to de-mist functionality, provides intuitive operation and securely holds the shield closed to prevent accidental opening during rides. The glance-off capability, enhanced by a smaller pivot cover and a smooth shell along the SNell test line in the temple area, improves the helmet's ability to deflect objects during impact, increasing rider safety. Constructed with the PB-SNC² shell made from super fiber and synthetic fibers, this helmet offers a balance of tensile strength, flexibility, and lightweight performance, reducing fatigue during extended use. Air intake vents, such as the Diffuser Type 12 with three adjustable positions, improve sealing to minimize road noise and water intrusion, enhancing ride comfort. The odor-resistant liner, featuring removable temple padding and a replaceable crown pad, ensures a personalized fit and maintains a neutral pH level for skin comfort. The interior is fully removable for easy cleaning and hygiene, while the VAS Max-V (BV) shield provides excellent visibility across different weather conditions and lighting. Standard with the helmet is a clear Pinlock® insert for fog resistance, and the IC Duct5 airflow system with a three-position switch offers adjustable ventilation that is easier to operate and limits water intrusion when fully closed.
