The ARAI HELMETS Contour-X Swirl Helmet offers advanced aerodynamic features combined with thoughtful design for optimal rider comfort and safety. Its lightweight outer shell, constructed with Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction (PB-cLc2), provides superior strength while maintaining a sleek profile. The Contour-X features a 3D Arai logo duct that is only 3.5 mm deep, feeding two central 10 mm intake ports for effective airflow. The duct's low-profile design works well at lower speeds and in an upright riding position, with a short-stroke lever at the top allowing easy opening or closing with gloves on. The logo duct is designed to break away upon impact, adding to the helmet's safety features.
An aerodynamic rear spoiler with an integrated exhaust function enhances stability and airflow management. Operated by a convenient 3-way switch, this spoiler is inspired by the DF-X2 of the Corsair-X but redesigned for touring comfort. For seamless communication system integration, the helmet's exterior is designed for easy connection without compromising the EPS liner's protective integrity. The Variable Axis System (VAS) lowers the visor mounting position by approximately 24 mm across the temple areas, contributing to improved aerodynamics and energy deflection. The helmet's shell flares by 5 mm around the opening, facilitating easier donning and removal.
