The Alpinestars Tech-Air® v2 Off-Road System in medium size offers advanced airbag protection designed specifically for off-road and street riding. This innovative system features a fully integrated, self-contained electronic unit with three accelerometers and gyroscopes that monitor dynamic riding scenarios to trigger active airbags in the event of a crash. The system provides comprehensive coverage including full chest, back, shoulders, neck, and collarbones, significantly enhancing rider safety against rocks, debris, and obstacles encountered on rugged trails or urban streets.
Built for versatility, the Tech-Air® Off-Road System includes three pre-set riding modes: ENDURO, RALLY, and STREET, which can be easily navigated via the front LED display or through the dedicated app. The system's dual gas inflators ensure two separate airbag deployments, offering reliable protection by deploying only one inflator during a crash. Its quick-release cover simplifies gas inflator replacement where permitted by regulations, and the lithium-ion battery supports up to 30 hours of active use with a quick recharge time of approximately four hours. The LED display features an integrated USB-C charging port for convenient recharging, and the system automatically activates upon zipping up.
Designed for ease of use and maintenance, the electronic control unit (ECU) and airbags are removable, allowing the rider to wash the protection jacket separately. The system includes a dedicated shipping mode switch, which disconnects the battery during transport or prolonged storage, helping to preserve battery life and system integrity. In addition to its advanced features, the Tech-Air® v2 system is homologated for race use under FIM Cross Country Rally Regulations, with dual inflators providing redundant safety. Inflation occurs in approximately 52 milliseconds, providing rapid deployment to protect the chest, back, shoulders, and neck during impacts.
