The Alpinestars T SP-5 Rideknit® Jacket is designed for serious motorcycle riders seeking optimal safety, comfort, and performance. Crafted with a knitted textile fabric, this jacket features a body-mapped fit and pre-curved sleeves to enhance riding ergonomics and reduce fatigue during long journeys. The jacket incorporates strategically placed stretch panels on the underarms, inner arms, and torso, providing maximum flexibility and a tailored fit that moves with the rider. The use of durable poly-fabric in the chassis ensures abrasion resistance and longevity, making it suitable for demanding riding conditions.
The T SP-5 Rideknit® Jacket is compatible with Tech-Air® 5, the world’s first fully electronic, self-contained upper body motorcycle airbag system. This system requires no bike-to-rider setup, offering riders peace of mind with enhanced safety features. The jacket’s design includes a large mesh panel on the back collar for improved airflow, helping to keep riders cool during warm weather. Reflective details are integrated into the design for increased visibility in low-light conditions.
Additional features include a low-profile sports collar with soft lining for comfort, a large tooth Vislon® zipper for easy operation even with gloves, and multiple secure storage options such as two front zippered pockets, an inner waterproof document pocket, and two inner liner pockets. The jacket also has hook-and-loop closures at the waist and cuffs, which provide a secure fit, along with loops for attachment to Alpinestars riding pants. Reinforced with DFS Lite shoulders featuring a dynamic friction shield, the jacket offers high abrasion resistance in critical areas. Protective armor in the shoulders and elbows is provided by Level 1 Nucleon Flex Plus inserts, with options for additional chest and back protection as accessories. Its distinctive woven camouflage jacquard fabric enhances lightness and flexibility, giving the jacket a unique yet functional aesthetic suitable for high-performance riding.
