Its flush surface features a specialized coating developed by Alpinestars to enhance rotational impact protection, mimicking the brain’s cerebrospinal fluid to reduce rotational acceleration during oblique impacts. This low-friction slip plane technology significantly helps in minimizing the risk of concussions and other brain injuries. The helmet's vision system offers 220° peripheral and 57° vertical visibility, thanks to an optimized eye port and head positioning, providing riders with excellent peripheral awareness and safety.
Equipped with 10 well-placed ventilation ports—including adjustable top vents, chin bar extractors, and rear exhausts—the helmet ensures optimal airflow to keep riders cool and prevent fogging. The chin vents channel incoming air directly towards the shield's inner surface, reducing mist buildup, while the adjustable top vents allow for customized airflow depending on riding conditions. The shield itself is an optical Class 1, ECE 22.06 homologated visor with double-sided anti-scratch treatment, varying in thickness from 1.6 mm at the sides to 2.6 mm in the center for enhanced durability and clarity.
