Designed specifically for off-road racing enthusiasts, the Alpinestars SM7 helmet offers a perfect balance of ventilation, comfort, and superior impact protection. Its lightweight composite shell features an aerodynamic profile that minimizes drag and reduces impact forces by promoting smooth energy deflection. The shell's curvature is engineered to decrease friction during impacts, effectively transferring energy away from the rider's head and neck, thereby enhancing safety during high-intensity rides. The helmet includes a Visor Detaching System that automatically releases when subjected to impacts over 15 Joules, ensuring maximum protection regardless of impact direction.
Equipped with 20 intake and exhaust ports, including 13 intakes and 7 exhausts, the SM7 provides exceptional airflow to keep riders cool and comfortable during demanding off-road sessions. The helmet's fit can be customized further with interchangeable cheek pads available in various thicknesses, allowing for a tailored fit across all shell sizes. The design also includes a cutaway section on the left side of the EPS for seamless integration of communication systems, with earphone recesses on both sides for speaker installation, making it ideal for race communication needs.
Construction features include removable, washable linings with antimicrobial treatments, and a crown pad and neck pad elastically linked for better impact management. The top pad is adjustable in height via the A-head system, providing personalized comfort. Cheek pads are made of 3D foam with an emergency extraction system (ERS) and hydration tube channels, and are interchangeable across all sizes. The chin strap utilizes a 25mm nylon strap with stainless steel DD rings and removable covers for easy cleaning. Integrated channels on both sides of the helmet accommodate hydration systems, ensuring hydration is accessible during intense rides.
