The Alpinestars SM7 Helmet is designed for off-road racing enthusiasts seeking optimal protection, ventilation, and comfort. Its lightweight composite shell features an aerodynamic profile that ensures a smooth, streamlined shape, free of external channels or features that could compromise structural integrity during impacts. The curved shell design promotes reduced friction upon impact, facilitating energy deflection and efficient transfer to protect the rider's head, neck, and spinal column. Equipped with 20 intake and exhaust ports, including 13 air intakes and 7 exhausts, the helmet provides exceptional airflow to keep the rider cool during intense off-road activities.
Constructed with advanced materials, the helmet's interior includes removable, washable linings treated with antimicrobial agents to maintain hygiene and comfort. The crown and neck pads are elastically connected to enhance impact absorption, while the top pad can be easily adjusted or removed for a customized fit using the A-Head system. Cheek pads made from 3D foam feature an emergency extraction system and channels for hydration tubes, and they are interchangeable across all shell sizes to ensure a precise fit. The chin strap uses a 25 mm nylon strap with stainless steel DD rings and removable covers for easy cleaning. Integrated channels on both sides of the helmet accommodate hydration systems, allowing riders to stay hydrated without compromising safety.
The helmet's visor detachment system is engineered to automatically release during impacts exceeding 15 Joules, minimizing the risk of injury from visor failure. Additionally, the helmet incorporates Alpinestars PLASMA technology within the side pads for superior shock absorption, especially in critical contact zones, further reducing injury potential. The cutaway section on the left side of the EPS shell allows seamless installation of communication systems, with earphone recesses on both sides for enhanced audio compatibility.
