Equipped with the advanced Omni-Directional Suspension (ODS) technology, the ATS-1R features a fully active, in-helmet suspension system designed to mitigate energy transfer during impacts. This system uncouples the helmet’s exterior shell from the inner EPS liner, reducing linear and angular acceleration forces to the head and brain. The helmet incorporates two separate EPS liners separated by elastomeric dampers, enabling three-dimensional displacement upon impact for optimized energy absorption across low, medium, and high-velocity impacts.
The helmet's ventilation system is engineered for maximum airflow and fog resistance. Four adjustable intake ports direct fresh air into key areas such as the chin, brow, and crown, while a network of transfer and exhaust ports facilitate efficient air circulation. Internal brow vents pull air across the shield’s surface to aid cooling and fog dissipation, complemented by the internal breath guard that directs fresh air inside while exhausting breath outward, reducing fogging. The anti-scratch shield, certified to VESC-8 standards, is easily changed without tools and features a 10-position adjustable shield with a lockdown lever. UV protection and a clear Pinlock® 120XLT® anti-fog insert further enhance visibility and safety.
Designed for convenience and versatility, the helmet includes integrated speaker pockets, eyewear compatibility, a removable neck cuff, and chin curtain. Its aerodynamic wing, created through advanced CAD design, minimizes drag, buffeting, and lift at higher speeds. The helmet's design also incorporates integrated air intakes and exhaust vents, taking advantage of negative-pressure effects to improve internal air circulation.
