The ProTaper Yamaha YZ65 Rear Aluminum Sprocket - 48 Teeth - Black is a 48-tooth rear sprocket built specifically for the 2018 through 2026 Yamaha YZ65. ProTaper makes it from 7075-T6 heat-treated billet aluminum with a hard coat and deep anodized finish for corrosion resistance, and every tooth carries an angled mud groove on both sides that sheds mud during riding to reduce wear and maintain power transfer. The countersink design centers the sprocket on the hub automatically at installation, so no separate hub center guide is needed. It is made in the USA and suits YZ65 riders who want a longer-lasting rear sprocket that stays cleaner in rough conditions.
A larger rear sprocket like this 48-tooth option lowers overall gearing, which sharpens acceleration out of corners but reduces top-end speed.
