The ProTaper SE KX Low Handlebar - Jet Black is a 7/8 in. diameter bar built from a proprietary 2000 series T6 aerospace aluminum alloy, with a cold-forged aluminum crossbar and CNC-machined 6061 aluminum clamps bonded with an aerospace-grade polymer. Each bar goes through a shot peening and stress-relief process before being anodized, and the chemically applied graphics resist scratching and peeling. At 1.8 lbs. without the pad, it suits riders who want solid, predictable feedback from a lightweight 7/8 in. bar. A crossbar pad is included.
This bar measures 800mm wide, giving you good leverage at the grips, and the width can be trimmed down if your setup calls for it. The 54mm rise lifts the grip area a moderate amount above the clamp, which works well for riders who spend time both seated and standing. A 60mm sweep angles the grips back toward you for a more relaxed wrist position, while the 195mm control area leaves plenty of straight section for mounting levers and switches.
