ProTaper SE CR Mid Handlebar - Jet Black

The ProTaper SE CR Mid Handlebar - Jet Black is a 7/8 in. aluminum handlebar from ProTaper's SE line, built for riders who want solid, predictable feedback at the controls. ProTaper constructs it from a proprietary 2000 series T6 aluminum alloy, stress-relieved and shot peened before receiving an anodized finish for lasting durability. The crossbar is cold-forged aluminum, and its clamps are CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum and bonded with an aerospace-grade polymer. Clutch-side knurling helps keep grips in place, and chemically applied graphics resist scratching and peeling.

The CR Mid bend has 56mm of rise, which lifts the grip area a moderate amount above the clamp, suiting riders who spend time standing or who prefer a more upright posture without going to a full high-rise bar. The 57mm of sweep angles the grips back toward the rider at a comfortable mid-range, keeping the wrists in a fairly relaxed position rather than a fully neutral straight-arm stance. At 800mm wide, the bar provides good leverage, and the 195mm control area gives reasonable room for levers and switches on each side.
