The ProTaper KTM 50 SX Rear Aluminum Sprocket - 40 Teeth - Orange is a 40-tooth rear sprocket built from 7075-T6 heat-treated billet aluminum and hard coated through ProTaper's PTSE process for added wear resistance and corrosion protection. ProTaper machines an angled mud groove into both sides of every tooth, which helps shed mud during riding and increases tooth surface area compared to conventional sprocket designs. It is made in the USA and sized for young riders competing or riding on the KTM 50 SX.

A 40-tooth rear sprocket raises gearing compared to a smaller rear sprocket, which means slightly higher top speed potential and reduced acceleration off the line relative to a lower tooth count.
