ProTaper Kawasaki KX100 Rear Aluminum Sprocket - 51 Teeth - Black

The ProTaper Kawasaki KX100 Rear Aluminum Sprocket - 51 Teeth - Black is a 51-tooth rear sprocket built from heat-treated 7075-T6 billet aluminum and CNC-machined in the USA for riders who want lasting performance on the track. ProTaper's Race Spec series uses an angled mud groove on both sides of every tooth, which sheds mud during riding to help preserve power and slow tooth wear. That groove geometry also increases tooth surface area by up to 40% compared to competing sprockets, meaning more chain contact and a longer service life. Countersinks built into the sprocket center it on the hub automatically during installation, so no separate hub center guide is needed. It fits the Kawasaki KX100, KX85, KX80, and KX112, as well as the 2003 Suzuki RM100, and carries a deep anodized black finish for corrosion resistance.

A larger rear sprocket like this 51-tooth option lowers overall gearing, which sharpens acceleration off corners and out of tight sections at the cost of some top-end speed.
