ProTaper Contour KX High Handlebar - Jet Black

The ProTaper Contour KX High Handlebar - Jet Black is a 1-1/8 in. clamp handlebar from ProTaper's Contour line, built from a proprietary 2000 series T6 aluminum alloy and finished with shot peening, stress relieving, and anodizing for lasting durability. The clutch side is knurled for a secure grip hold, the graphics are chemically applied so they resist scratching and peeling, and plastic bar end plugs are included along with a crossbar pad. At 1.55 lbs. without the pad, this bar is a straightforward, cost-effective option for riders who want a quality bar and pad combo in one package.

The KX High bend sits 70mm of rise above the clamp, which brings the grip area up noticeably and works well for riders who prefer standing or who want a more upright feel. The 56mm of sweep angles the grips back toward the rider for a more relaxed wrist position compared to straighter bends. At 800mm wide the bar provides good leverage, and the 180mm control area gives plenty of straight section for positioning levers and switches, while the 1/4 in. cut guides make trimming the width straightforward if needed.
