ProTaper Contour Carmichael Handlebar - Blue

The ProTaper Contour Carmichael Handlebar - Blue is a full-size aluminum handlebar built around ProTaper's Contour line, which targets riders who want a capable bar without paying top-of-the-range prices. It is drawn from a proprietary 2000-series T6 aluminum alloy at 5mm wall thickness, then shot peened, stress relieved, and anodized to improve durability and surface hardness. The clutch side is knurled for a more secure grip hold, chemically applied graphics resist scratching and peeling, and the bar ships with a crossbar pad and plastic bar end plugs included.

This bar runs 800mm wide, giving good leverage that can be trimmed down to suit narrower setups. The 40mm rise lifts the grip area a moderate amount above the clamp, a height that works well for riders who spend time standing on the pegs without pushing the bars overly high for seated riding. A 55mm sweep angles the grips back toward the rider for a relatively relaxed wrist position, and the 180mm control area gives plenty of straight section for mounting levers and switches.
