Powersports Intake Systems & Filters
Shield your engine from destructive trail debris while unlocking maximum combustion efficiency with premium powersports intake systems and filters from Mad Lads Moto. Internal combustion engines are essentially massive air pumps; the volume of clean, cold oxygen they can draw directly dictates your power output. However, off-road silt, track dust, and fuel system contaminants are constantly working to compromise your piston rings and cylinder walls. Our comprehensive catalog features high-flow street air filters, dual-stage foam off-road filters, high-micron efficiency oil filters, and inline fuel strainers engineered to provide maximum flow and elite filtration security.
What is the performance difference between pleated cotton and foam air filters?
Pleated cotton filters use layered, oil-treated cotton gauze to offer exceptionally high airflow with low restriction, making them ideal for high-RPM asphalt street and track applications. Foam air filters utilize thick, porous polyurethane open-cell structures soaked in high-tack filter oil. This multi-layered design traps immense quantities of fine silt, sand, and dust without choking airflow, making foam the absolute standard for dirt bikes, ATVs, and off-road environments.
Why is it critical to use specialized air filter oil rather than standard motor oil?
Standard motor oil is engineered to flow when warm, meaning it will eventually migrate out of an air filter element and pool at the bottom of your airbox, leaving the upper portion dry. Dedicated air filter oil contains specialized solvents that evaporate after application, leaving behind an incredibly sticky, tacky web of polymers that actively snags microscopic dust particles as they pass through the filter media.
