The ProTaper Yamaha TTR250 Rear Aluminum Sprocket - 50 Teeth - Black is a Race Spec (RS) rear sprocket cut from 7075-T6 heat-treated billet aluminum and CNC-machined in the USA. ProTaper's angled mud grooves run on both sides of every tooth, shedding mud during riding to reduce wear and help maintain power delivery. The grooves also increase tooth surface area by up to 40% compared to competing sprockets, which ProTaper says meaningfully extends sprocket life. Named for the TTR250, this sprocket also fits a range of Yamaha WR and YZ models spanning 1984 through 1998.

A 50-tooth rear sprocket sits on the larger end of the range, which lowers overall gearing for quicker acceleration off the line at the expense of top speed.
