The ProTaper Honda CR80R Rear Aluminum Sprocket - 57 Teeth - Black is a 57-tooth rear sprocket made from heat-treated 7075-T6 billet aluminum and CNC-machined in the USA for Honda CR80R, CR85R, CRF150R, and their Expert variants. ProTaper's Race Spec series uses an angled mud groove cut into both sides of every tooth, which the company says creates a self-cleaning effect that reduces horsepower loss and sprocket wear. That groove design also increases tooth surface area by up to 40% compared to competing sprockets, meaning more contact with the chain and longer sprocket life. Built-in countersinks center the sprocket to the hub automatically during installation, so no separate hub center guide is needed.
A larger rear sprocket like this 57-tooth option lowers your overall gearing, which sharpens acceleration off the line and out of corners at the cost of some top-end speed.
