ProTaper Contour YZ High Handlebar - Gray

The ProTaper Contour YZ High Handlebar - Gray is a 1-1/8 in. clamp handlebar built from ProTaper's proprietary 2000 series T6 aluminum alloy, processed through shot peening, stress relieving, and anodizing for lasting durability. The YZ High bend name refers to the profile geometry, not a fitment restriction. Weighing 1.55 lbs. without the pad, it comes packaged with a crossbar pad and features knurling on the clutch side for a secure grip hold, quarter-inch cut guides for trimming, and chemically applied graphics that resist scratching and peeling.

This bar has 53mm of rise, which lifts the grip area well above the clamp and suits riders who prefer a more upright stance or spend time standing on the pegs. The 52mm of sweep angles the grips back toward the rider at a moderate degree, putting the wrists in a comfortable, relatively relaxed position without going to an extreme. At 800mm wide with 180mm of control area per side, there is good leverage available and enough straight section to position levers and switches, and the bar can be trimmed down using the built-in cut guides if a narrower width is needed.
