ProTaper 1/3 Waffle Grips

The ProTaper 1/3 Waffle Grips - Black are a slide-on grip built around a pattern that factory racers and mechanics have been trimming by hand for years, with one row of the standard waffle grid removed so your palms sit against more of the grip surface. ProTaper calls this compound their softest and tackiest synthetic rubber yet. These grips are made for twist throttle use only.

The 1/3 Waffle pattern sits between a half waffle and a full diamond: removing that one row of the grid lets the palm land on more rubber, so you get the traction of a waffle layout with a feel that is closer to diamond. The compound here is on the softer end, which makes it tackier and more comfortable to hold, though softer rubber will show wear sooner than a firmer grip. These are slide-on grips, so you will need grip glue and safety wire to mount them. Three evenly spaced safety wire grooves are cut into the grip to make that job straightforward.
