The ProTaper Clamp-On 1/2 Waffle Grips - Gray/Black are a clamp-on grip set built around ProTaper's windowed clutch-side core, which reduces outer diameter and creates relief areas at the palm and fingertips to cut down on vibration and impact compared to solid-core designs. The grip surface uses a soft, tacky compound molded directly to the core, while firmer material in the flange and end cap resists wear and crash damage. They suit riders across several motorcycle disciplines who want a quick-change grip without glue or tie-wire.
The 1/2 waffle pattern covers half the grip surface with a waffle texture, giving a positive, secure feel while keeping enough smooth area to reduce hand fatigue on longer rides. These are clamp-on grips, so installation and removal use a low-profile CNC-machined aluminum clamp rather than glue and safety wire, meaning you can swap them out quickly without cutting them off. Each set ships with throttle cams, and the application table below covers which cam pairs with which machine.
