The Alpinestars Tech 7 boots are engineered to provide exceptional off-road performance and protection for dirt bike riders. The thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) lower shell is innovatively designed around the shifter area to reduce front roll and ensure easy shift lever operation, with dedicated structures for the left and right foot for optimal performance. Reinforced with a metal shank and impact-resistant toe zones, the Tech 7 offers increased durability and abrasion resistance for challenging terrains.
The boots incorporate a double pivot system on the medial and lateral sides, enhancing flexibility and precision control, essential for aggressive riding styles. A contoured TPU calf protector plate provides effective impact resistance, while the low-profile pivot around the ankle supports natural movement and rider comfort. The front flexion zone features shock-absorbing inserts that offer progressive support, complemented by strategically placed padding on the ankles and shin plates to absorb impacts and reduce fatigue during extended rides.
The closure system includes aluminum frame quick-release buckles with self-aligning receivers, ensuring a secure and customized fit that prevents strap rotation. The soft microfiber gaiter, specially designed for the back of the boot, seals out dirt and water effectively, maintaining dryness and cleanliness. An extended medial TPU panel with a rubber insert provides maximum grip contact with the bike, along with enhanced heat and abrasion resistance. The updated TPU shin plate offers a secure fit, reinforced with hook and loop closures for added stability. The extensive impact protection is further supported by TPU overlays on the toes, heel, ankle, calf, and shin, with extra hard compounds on the toe box and heel for superior durability.
The sole is built from a dual compound vulcanized rubber with an embedded wear limit indicator in the foot peg area, alerting the rider when replacement is necessary. The poly-fabric lining with 3D open cell foam and anti-sliding suede reinforcement on the heel enhances comfort and abrasion resistance.
