The Alpinestars SMX Plus Boots are engineered for high-performance motorcycle riding, combining advanced protection with exceptional flexibility. Constructed with an advanced microfiber upper, these boots offer lightweight durability and superb abrasion resistance, ensuring longevity and safety during demanding rides. The front flex zone is designed with a soft microfiber material that enhances natural forward and backward movement, providing comfort without sacrificing protection. Additionally, the flexible accordion microfiber on the Achilles area promotes natural movement while maintaining structural integrity.
The outside entry and exit feature a stretchable accordion panel that ensures a snug fit, making it easier to put on and remove the boots while maintaining optimal support. An evolution of Alpinestars’ exclusive Multi-Link Control system delivers external ankle protection and support, limiting hyper-torsion, hyper-extension, and hyper-flexion movements. This system also offers impact protection to the Achilles and ankle regions, reducing injury risk during impacts.
For added protection, the boots are equipped with a replaceable dual-density TPU toe slider with a screw-in assembly, providing durable coverage around the outer toe. The heel area includes a replaceable heel slider and an external side heel slider designed to absorb shock and facilitate sliding in the event of a fall. Large asymmetrical accordion zones at the front and rear further enhance flexibility for maximum comfort and safety, adapting to the rider’s movements seamlessly.
The micro-adjustable ratchet closure system with a stow tab ensures a secure fit, while the inner instep speed lacing closure and lateral zipper allow for precise adjustment and quick on-and-off. An innovative Lace-Lock System made from advanced polymer resin ensures a quick, secure, and reliable closure, preventing accidental openings. The hook-and-loop tab locks the zipper pull, maintaining a flat, safe profile. Inside, the boots feature a laminated synthetic forefoot lining with open-cell foam for shock absorption and breathable panels in the ankle and leg areas, providing all-day comfort.
The anatomical, replaceable EVA footbed offers arch support and a responsive pedal feel, enhancing rider control. The durable rubber sole is textured for consistent grip and improved riding feel, designed to withstand the rigors of motorcycle riding. A contoured high-modulus shin plate provides superior impact and abrasion resistance, complementing the overall protective design of the Alpinestars SMX Plus Boots.
