The Alpinestars SMX-1 v2 riding boots are engineered for high-performance motorcycling, combining advanced materials with innovative design features to deliver superior comfort, fit, and durability. The ergonomic boot shape is designed for forefoot streamlining, accommodating a wide range of foot profiles for all-day comfort. An evolved, anatomically angled closure strap follows the natural shape of the rider’s instep, offering a secure fit that adjusts easily thanks to the thermoplastic rubber puller. The strap system incorporates aramidic fiber wires for exceptional durability while remaining lightweight.
The quick-release Velcro® closure system over the instep allows for fast donning and removal, enhancing convenience without compromising fit or support. Integrated flex zones in the instep and Achilles areas provide optimized maneuverability, while the accordion flex zones add support and flexibility regardless of riding position. Ventilation is addressed through flex windows in the rear flex bellow, which also serve as air intakes to improve airflow and moisture management.
Safety features include an external high-modulus TPU heel counter, lateral ankle protectors, and a reinforced shift pad, all designed to absorb shocks and enhance impact resistance. The sole incorporates Alpinestars’ exclusive grip patterning and is equipped with an integrated Transversal Protection Frame (TPF) for additional protection against transversal loads. Comfort is prioritized with a removable, anatomically shaped foot-bed made from EVA foam and Lycra®, along with an internal mesh lining that promotes cooling and moisture-wicking. The boots feature a replaceable, bi-injected TPU forefoot slider with an easy-screw fixing system for quick maintenance.
