The Alpinestars SMX-1 v2 Riding Boots are engineered to deliver superior performance, comfort, and durability for serious motorcyclists. Constructed from a lightweight microfiber upper with abrasion-resistant properties, these boots provide excellent protection while maintaining flexibility. Strategically placed Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) protectors enhance impact resistance in critical areas, ensuring safety during demanding rides. The rubber sole features a superior grip pattern designed for optimal traction both on and off the bike, complemented by integrated Alpinestars Transversal Protection Frame (TPF) to safeguard against transversal loads.
The ergonomic boot shaping offers a streamlined fit with a wide range of foot profiles, providing all-day comfort and support. An evolved anatomical closure strap, equipped with Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) pullers and durable aramidic fiber wires, ensures a secure fit that conforms to the rider's foot and ankle movements. The strap's design follows the natural shape of the instep for a better fit, while the quick-acting Velcro® system allows for easy donning and removal.
Designed for versatility, the SMX-1 v2 features accordion flex zones constructed from lightweight microfiber, allowing for flexible movement and precise control regardless of riding position. Flex grooves are thermowelded into the shoe to manage flexion and flexibility, and the external heel counter, ankle, and shift pad are reinforced with high modulus TPU for enhanced shock absorption and durability. The external heel counter, combined with a soft TPR insert at the ear of the heel, offers improved ankle mobility and comfort. Ventilation is optimized through a flex window in the rear flex bellow, which acts as an air intake, promoting airflow and moisture management.
Additional protective features include double density ankle protectors layered under the upper, internal toe box protection, and an innovative heel counter support system that enhances fit and structural integrity. The removable, anatomically contoured foot-bed with EVA foam and Lycra® provides additional comfort and support, while the internal mesh lining ensures moisture-wicking and cooling comfort. The boots are equipped with a replaceable, bi-injected TPU forefoot slider with a quick-screw fixing system for easy maintenance.
