Twin Air Standard Air Filter - Yamaha Grizzly 450 2007-2014 uses a dual-bonded foam construction that captures fine dirt particles while flowing more air than filters built from two separate foam layers, a result Twin Air backs with flow bench testing. It is sized slightly smaller than a stock filter, which makes it easier to install and remove and leaves extra dead air space around the filter for better performance. A flat foam sealing ring is built into the design so it seals firmly against the airbox even when riding conditions get rough.
Foam air filters are serviced rather than replaced on a fixed schedule, so how long one lasts depends on the conditions you ride in. Clean it with a dedicated filter cleaner, let it dry completely, then re-oil before fitting. Many riders keep a second filter on the shelf so a freshly oiled one is always ready.
