ProTaper Yamaha YZ80/85 Aluminum Shifter

The ProTaper Yamaha YZ80/85 Aluminum Shifter is a direct-replacement shifter built from forged 6061 aluminum for the 1993-2001 Yamaha YZ80 and 2002-2026 Yamaha YZ85. ProTaper forges the body rather than casting or machining it from billet, which produces a part with reliable strength at a light weight. The tip folds to reduce damage risk and features a knurled surface for positive boot grip when shifting. It is designed to fit exactly as the original equipment part does, with no modifications needed.

This shifter replaces the stock unit on the YZ80 and YZ85 with a part that matches factory mounting specifications. The folding tip can move out of the way on impact and snap back into position, which helps protect it during tip-overs or when working through tight sections.
