ProTaper Yamaha YZ250 Front Sprocket - 12 Teeth

The ProTaper Yamaha YZ250 Front Sprocket - 12 Teeth is a 12-tooth front sprocket made from casehardened chromoly steel, with a special coating that helps the steel hold up against wear over time. ProTaper machines and broaches each sprocket to tight tolerances, and the design includes lightening holes to keep weight down along with mud grooves that clear dirt as the wheel turns. It fits a wide range of Yamaha and Kawasaki models, with the Yamaha YZ250 as the lead application.

A 12-tooth front sprocket sits on the smaller end of the count range, which lowers overall gearing compared to a larger front sprocket, giving the bike quicker off-the-line acceleration at the cost of some top-end speed.
