The ProTaper SE YZ High Handlebar - Jet Black is a 7/8 in. diameter aluminum handlebar built from a proprietary 2000 series T6 aluminum alloy with a cold-forged aluminum crossbar and CNC-machined clamps. ProTaper subjects each bar to shot peening and stress relieving before anodizing, which they say gives the finish exceptional durability. The clutch side features knurling for a more secure grip hold, and the chemically applied graphics resist scratching and peeling. At 1.8 lbs. without the included crossbar pad, this bar is a solid choice for riders who want direct, predictable feedback from their controls.

This bar has 53mm of rise, which lifts the grip area a moderate amount above the clamp and suits riders who prefer a more upright stance or spend time standing on the pegs. The 54mm of sweep angles the grips back toward the rider at a comfortable degree, easing wrist strain during longer sessions. The bar comes 800mm wide, giving good leverage, and can be trimmed down if needed, while the 195mm control area provides ample straight section for positioning levers and switches.
