The ProTaper Contour Henry / Reed Handlebar - Red is a 1-1/8 in. clamp bar from ProTaper's Contour line, built from a proprietary 2000 series T6 aluminum alloy and finished with shot peening, stress relieving, and anodizing for lasting durability. The Henry / Reed bend is named after the riding style associated with those athletes, and the bar ships as a combo with a crossbar pad included. Chemically applied graphics resist scratching and peeling, the clutch side is knurled for a secure grip hold, and 1/4 in. cut guides are marked into the bar if you need to trim width. At 1.55 lbs. without the pad, it keeps weight low while balancing fatigue life, impact strength, and flex.

This bar has a 66mm rise, which brings the grip area up a meaningful amount above the clamp and suits riders who prefer a taller, more upright position, particularly when standing. The 57mm sweep angles the grips back toward the rider for a more relaxed wrist angle compared to a straighter bar. The bar ships at 800mm wide with a 180mm control area for levers and switches, and the 1/4 in. cut guides make it straightforward to trim width if needed, though the bar cannot be extended once cut.
