ProTaper 87-07 Honda CR125R Aluminum Shifter
The ProTaper 87-07 Honda CR125R Aluminum Shifter is a direct-replacement shift lever built from forged 6061 aluminum for the Honda CR125R covering model years 1987-2007. ProTaper forges the lever rather than casting it, which produces a denser, tougher piece of aluminum, and the tip folds to reduce the chance of damage in a crash. A knurled surface on the shift tip gives your boot something to grip when you need a clean upshift or downshift.
This shifter is made to bolt on with OEM fitment, so it drops in where the stock lever came off without modification. The folding tip is the practical upgrade here, snapping back into position after contact with the ground instead of bending and leaving you with a lever you can't use.
