The ProTaper Micro Grips - Medium Light Gray are built specifically for the ProTaper Micro Handlebar, a control system designed for young riders. ProTaper also notes compatibility with stock CRF50F and PW50 controls, making these a practical fit for common youth bikes. The mold features oversized tips to resist crash damage and help smaller hands stay on the bar, and the rubber is formulated on the softer side to reduce vibration and protect developing hands.
These grips use a 1/3 waffle traction pattern, which gives a positive grip surface well suited to smaller hands that may not wrap a full-size grip securely. The super-soft rubber compound adds noticeable cushioning against vibration, which helps reduce fatigue and hand stress during riding. As slide-on grips, they install with grip glue and safety wire, and ProTaper has built safety wire grooves directly into the grip to make that job straightforward. These are designed for twist throttle use only.
