The Motul Transmission Oil 10W-30 1L is a mineral-based gearbox oil built for 2-stroke motorcycle transmissions that run a separate oil supply from the engine. It is made for gearboxes housed in their own case, away from the engine crankcase, where a dedicated transmission oil is required. Motul formulates it to work in wet clutch systems that share the gearbox oil.

This oil carries a 10W-30 viscosity rating, where the 10W reflects the cold-weather flow characteristic and the 30 describes the viscosity at operating temperature. It is suited for use when a manufacturer specifies either an SAE 10W-30 engine oil or an SAE 80 gearbox oil for the transmission. Match the grade to whatever your service manual calls for. The 1-litre bottle is a practical size for a single gearbox fill on a 2-stroke machine.
