The Alpinestars SMX Plus Boots are engineered for high-performance motorcycle riding, combining lightweight microfiber construction with advanced protection features. The microfiber upper offers exceptional flexibility and abrasion resistance, ensuring durability and comfort during demanding rides. The front flex zone is designed to facilitate natural forward and backward movement, reducing rider fatigue. An accordion microfiber panel on the Achilles enhances natural movement and provides additional support, while the stretchable accordion panel on the outside entry/exit area ensures a snug fit and ease of wear.
The boots feature Alpinestars' innovative Multi-Link Control system, which offers superior external ankle protection and support. This system limits hyper-torsion, hyper-extension, and hyper-flexion movements, effectively safeguarding the ankle from injury while maintaining mobility. The external impact protection is further reinforced with a dual-density Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) replaceable toe slider, positioned for optimal coverage around the outer toe area. Replaceable heel sliders are integrated to dissipate shocks and enable controlled sliding during falls, enhancing rider safety.
Designed for maximum flexibility and comfort, the boots incorporate large, asymmetrical accordion zones at the front and rear, providing excellent flexibility without compromising protection. The micro-adjustable ratchet top closure, with a stowable tab end, ensures a secure and customizable fit. The advanced synthetic forefoot lining, laminated with open-cell foam, offers shock absorption, while the breathable lining in the ankle and leg areas maintains comfort during extended rides. The anatomically shaped and replaceable EVA footbed provides arch support and a tactile feel of the pedal, contributing to precise control.
The sole is constructed from textured rubber, delivering consistent grip and improved riding feedback. Inner instep speed lacing and a lateral zipper facilitate a precise, secure fit, complemented by the Alpinestars Lace-Lock System made of durable polymer resin for quick fastening. A hook and loop tab locks the zipper pull in place, ensuring safety.
