The Alpinestars SMX-1 v2 riding boots are engineered to deliver exceptional performance, comfort, and durability for serious motorcyclists. Crafted from a lightweight microfiber upper, these boots offer excellent abrasion resistance while maintaining a streamlined profile. Strategically placed TPU protectors reinforce critical areas such as the heel counter, ankle, and shift zone, ensuring reliable protection during demanding rides. The rubber compound sole features a superior grip pattern that provides confident footing both on and off the bike, enhancing rider control and safety. Accordion flex zones integrated into the design promote natural movement and flexibility, adapting seamlessly to various riding positions for all-day comfort.
The ergonomic shape of the SMX-1 v2 boots is designed to accommodate a wide range of foot profiles, providing a snug yet comfortable fit. The evolved closure system combines a quick-acting Velcro® strap with an anatomically angled strap that follows the natural shape of the rider’s instep. This innovative closure features TPR pullers for ease of use and is reinforced with Aramidic fiber wires to ensure durability without adding weight. The external sole incorporates Alpinestars’ exclusive rubber compound with grip patterning that improves feel, grip, and durability under different conditions, while the integrated Transversal Protection Frame (TPF) offers additional reinforcement against transversal loads.
Ventilation and flexibility are enhanced with rear flex bellow air intake zones and thermowelded flex grooves, which allow controlled flexion and airflow for increased comfort during long rides. The boots include an internal mesh lining to wick moisture and keep feet cool, supported by a removable EVA foam and Lycra® foot-bed for customized comfort. For protection, the boots feature layered double-density ankle guards, an internal toe box protector, and an innovative heel counter system that works with the strap closure for optimal fit and structural support. The replaceable bi-injected TPU forefoot slider simplifies maintenance and replacement, ensuring these boots remain reliable and effective ride after ride.
